How it works
From your first call to your licence
Nobody’s first lesson is their best one. Here’s roughly how it goes, so you know what you’re walking into.
-
A phone call
Get in touch
Give me a ring or send a message and tell me roughly where you’re up to. We’ll work out which option suits you and find a time that fits around work or college.
-
1–2 hours
Your first lesson To confirm
I’ll pick you up from home, work or college. We start somewhere quiet to get you comfortable with the controls — no pressure, and nothing you haven’t agreed to.
-
Weekly, or an intensive block
Building it up
Junctions, roundabouts, dual carriageways, the manoeuvres. I normally recommend a two hour lesson each week for the best results, and we go at your pace, not a timetable’s.
-
The last few weeks
Getting test ready To confirm
Mock tests on the routes around Folkestone and Hythe, so test day itself feels like another lesson. I’ll tell you honestly when I think you’re ready.
-
Test day
Pass To confirm
Then you’re on the road on your own — and if you’re happy to, you get your photo on the wall with everyone else.
Not sure how many hours you’d need?
That depends on where you’re starting from. Three quick questions will point you at the right option — or just ring me, I’m a fully qualified government approved driving instructor (adi) and it’s a two minute conversation.
Step one is a phone call
Give me a call or drop me a message and I’ll be in touch soon. Whether you’re a nervous driver or the next Lewis Hamilton, I’d love to meet you.
